Two Blue Day!

One of the irises which greeted me when I arrived at the Cape Cod house.

Friday we went walking on Racing Beach, looking for glass, of course, and it turned out to be a Two Blue Day! Weather was mild, sunny, and just about perfect.

Friday the 13th was also Babycakes’s 6th Birthday. What a joy this little girl is, and has been since the moment of her birth.

Today is father’s day. We, as a couple, don’t make a big deal out of either father’s day or mother’s day. My Honey did make me eggs benedict for breakfast. Anyway, happy father’s day to all the fathers out there.

It rained during the night, and has been off and on this morning. We needed it, and I’m looking forward to happy plants in the garden (and everywhere else).

Yay for two-blue days! The photo of the iris is stunning. I want to stare at it all afternoon.

Gerry, irises are my all-time, most favorite flower. Thank you.

I was thinking, at about four a.m., about what powerful medicine the sound of rain on the roof is. Everything - including me - was renewed by the rain…

I’ve never seen an iris with that rich a color.

Iris is the official Tennessee State Flower. Orange is the color (along with white) for Univ. of Tennessee. But I have never seen an orange iris. May have to sneak over in the middle of the night and dig it up and give it a new home in Tennessee soil.
