10 Tings Tewsdy

My brother and I went to Gemini Springs Park and the “Parrots in the Park” club was meeting there with their birdies, so we got some pix.

1. I’ve started reading Water for Elephants.

2. I’m also reading I Am Legend. I have not seen the movie; maybe when it is available on pay per view (my main movie viewing method).

3. I’m going to spend the day at Stamping Station with my Honey today. She’s still feeling poorly, but has not choice but to operate the store today. I’ll do my usual floor cleaning, and keep her company, help out, etc. Maybe a little photography stroll. She can use the help, and I’ve been missing her.

4. Castro quit. We long ago should have established full relations with Cuba, but political pandering prevented it. Maybe now.

5. I find myself uninterested in the whole baseball doping scandal. I don’t care about baseball, and I don’t care what these millionaires inject themselves with. Setting bad examples for the youth of the nation? Well, that’s what parents are for.

6. Kosovo is a country now. Apparently we approve, at least Prez says so. Of course, the Russians, via Putin, disapprove. There’s a total shocker. The “country” is 94% Muslim Albanians, so are we supposed to worry about the 6% of Serbs? Hmm, the Serbs were pretty cruel to the Kosovars when they had the chance. Must be something in the Balkan water.

7. Is there some real difference between the (proposed) policies of Clinton and Obama? Could someone enlighten me?

8. They apparently recovered the stolen “masterpieces” in Switzerland. I guess they are masterpieces because millionaires somewhere along the line decided they were “worth” a lot of money. I have a hard time getting too wound up when these things are stolen. Maybe I’m just a Philistine.

9. I had something to say about the economy, and the mortgage “crisis,” but I ain’t in the mood.

10. Oh, we had chicken soup last night. Tasty. I know I mentioned it just a few posts ago, but you can’t beat it when you are feeling punk. We had cornbread with it. Actually found some in the grocery with no trans fats. We like those tasty biscuits in the round container from the grocery, but the people who make those haven’t caught on to the fact that Nobody Wants Their Stupid Trans-Fats!

Wasn’t much of a Ten Things, but I’ve gotta get ready for work? Me, Work!?

Ten Things is Ten Things, my friend. I’m going to post a “come up with ten things categories” post tomorrow, I think; I need some inspiration.

Cornbread is easy-easy to make, you know - and quick, too. If you make it yourself, you know for sure that there’s nothing untoward in it…
