I got tagged by Kathryn at A Mindful Life for a Five Things in my Fridge meme. I don’t know why this struck my fancy, but here goes:

Our son-in-law became enamored of this brand of bottled water, cute little flask-shape bottles and, shall we say, intriguing packaging/marketing. He has cases of it in his garage. We glom some for ourselves. For the environmentally conscious, I personally don’t hold with bottled water, but my honey drinks some, and I don’t dictate her consuming habits. We do recycle. Even though it may seem like I’m cheating (i.e. adding a 6th item), I’m going to throw in an image of the other bottle this water comes in without counting it again–perhaps you’ll like it.

When we have Babycakes over for a meal or full sleepover, we try to feed her well. She’ll consume broccoli and asparagus, but it seems to be an easier sell if we provide her with “dip.” So, item #2 which follows, we keep on hand (oh, yeah, we eat it too).

We like to nosh on cheese. I know, it’s full of fat and sodium and other stuff I probably don’t want to know about, but we like it. We’ve found (at our favorite yuppie grocery) this soft cheese which is good for dipping with crackers or vegetables. It also comes in non-jalapeno.

We are always looking for interesting tasty sauces, marinades, etc., and this next item is real high on our list. It basically amounts to, sort of, orange marmalade, but it is great on poultry, fish, even meat. It’s getting hard to find.

I like tasty things to drink, which, hopefully won’t make me fat. My honey mostly drinks water (adding Johnny Walker Black to it once a day for her evening beverage). This last item has become a favorite of mine, and we stay stocked. I’m sure they’ll discover soon that Splenda is deadly, and that quitting won’t save me.

So, you’ve seen some of what is in my fridge basically all of the time.
