Humpback Flukes, originally uploaded by twoblueday. Seen off Provincetown while on a whale watch with the Dolphin Fleet.
Busy days with my brother here. Picked him up at Logan in Boston and went straight to Quincy Market. Wandered. Ate. Took pictures. Back to Cape Cod. We got quite a bit of activity in. Lots of photography. He brought his really fine Canon Image Stabilised zoom lenses, and I got some practice with them. The whale photo was shot with one. My big brother actually rekindled my dormant interest in photography, which led me to Flickr, and blogging (neither of which he does). He and I took a ride off the Cape to New Bedford and then Fall River, where we saw Richard Shindell in concert. Obviously, we took a trip to Provincetown for whale watching and general amusement. Yesterday, while we were packing up the house, he took the fast ferry to Nantucket and back. Hated not to go, but much to do for closing down the house.
Don’t know how much I’ll be posting in the next few days. Bro’ and I are motoring to Illinois after I take my honey to the airport in Providence today. I’ll be a couple of weeks getting home. Doubtless have some online time during that.
Haven’t said much about the hybrid in the last couple of posts. We’re well over a thousand miles, and averaging 44.4 miles per gallon. I really like that little car, in addition to being well-satisfied with the gas mileage.
